Boeing and AMIDEAST-Jordan Celebrate the Graduation of Students from a Data Science and Career Readiness Program

Amman, Jordan,  April 8th, 2021 - Today, 20 Jordanian youth celebrated the successful completion of over 180 hours of technical training in Data Science and Career Readiness skills. The program created and executed by AMIDEAST-Jordan, and funded by Boeing, provides professional skills training for Jordanian fresh graduates from ICT and computer science fields to help them transition into their careers.

The program equipped students with the critical skills and workplace know-how they need to succeed in Jordan’s rapidly growing ICT sector. In the span of six months, the students completed 46 hours of soft skills training, including communications, teamwork, problem solving, leadership, critical thinking and 140 hours of advanced technical training in data science, python programming, data analysis, machine learning and deep learning, deep neural networks, big data architecture and more. In addition, they received guidance and mentoring on how to search for jobs.
