Global Corporate Citizenship
Global Corporate Citizenship connects Boeing to community engagement through a portfolio of charitable and business investments and support.
Education is one of five focus areas where Boeing partners with community organizations around the globe, through its corporate citizenship initiatives, to help provide high-quality programs and opportunities for children, their families and education professionals.
It is also an area of significant importance in the Middle East where Boeing is seeking to support education in various forms be it working with and mentoring young entrepreneurs or training caters of the differently abled. The importance Boeing places on education is clearly reflected in its work with organizations across the region.
Over the years, Boeing has funded education programs and entrepreneurship training for more than 2,000 people across the region, principally through projects organized by top non-governmental organizations including INDEMAJ, INJAZ, Action Care and the Emirates Environment Group in the UAE, Qatar, Palestinian Territories and Jordan.
With a current focus on education, health and human services, Boeing is an active member of the community in Saudi Arabia and supports a number of nonprofit organizations. For example: The company supports the learning disability program at the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research, which is conducting research into improving language proficiency among disabled Arabic speakers.
Boeing also works closely with the Hope Center for Exceptional Needs, King Abdulaziz Charitable Association, Al-Nahda Women’s Philanthropic Society, Al Ihsan Medical Society, SANAD Society for Children with Cancer and Prince Fahad bin Salman Charity Association for Renal Patients Care.
Most recently, Boeing invited applications from Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to receive community grants to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, workforce development and placement programs in the UAE and Qatar. The initiative is part of Boeing’s efforts to contribute towards programs that nurture STEM knowledge amongst children in the early or primary and secondary education phase, while also providing teachers with the right tools to creatively engage with their students.
