Boeing has a longstanding and multifaceted collaboration with several UAE partners, underlining the company’s commitment to support the UAE's vision of economic diversification and job creation for its citizens. Boeing has forged a significant industrial partnership with Mubadala Investment Company, leading to Strata Manufacturing (STRATA) producing essential components like the ribs for the empennage of the 777 aircraft and vertical fin ribs for the 787. This association further expanded with STRATA producing the 787 vertical fin shipset and Boeing sourcing pre-impregnated composite materials for the new 777X from a joint venture established by Mubadala and Solvay.
Furthermore, Boeing's engagement with the Tawazun Council has resulted in several strategic initiatives. Together with Edge Precision Industries (EPI), a subsidiary of the Edge Group, they ventured into producing intricate metallic machined parts for Boeing aircraft at EPI's facility. This partnership culminated in the launch of EPI’s state-of-the-art aerospace surface treatment facility in Abu Dhabi, a capability unique to the region. Another significant initiative was establishing the UxS Center of Excellence at Tawazun Industrial Park, reinforcing Boeing's dedication to fostering UAE's industrial and economic growth and nurturing talent.
